Already stationed in South Africa, the Nepalese U19 squad will undergo an intensive high-performance camp until January 12, fine-tuning their skills and strategies in preparation for the global cricket spectacle.
The U19 World Cup, initially slated to be hosted by Sri Lanka, witnessed a change in venue due to the suspension of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board by the International Cricket Council (ICC). As a result, the cricketing extravaganza will unfold on South African soil from January 19 to February 11.
Nepal finds itself placed in Group D, alongside cricket powerhouses Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan. The group stage matches promise to be gripping encounters:
- January 21: Nepal vs New Zealand
- January 24: Nepal vs Pakistan
- January 27: Nepal vs Afghanistan
