In an exciting development for football enthusiasts in Nepal, the National Youth Association has unveiled plans for the highly anticipated KP Oli Cup 2080. The announcement came during a press conference held today in Baneshwar, Kathmandu, where President Kshitiz Thebe shared details about the upcoming event, scheduled to take place from Falgun 11th to 19th.
The KP Oli Cup is set to feature prominent teams from Nepal's A Division League, as well as enthusiastic participation from foreign clubs. With the rallying cry, "Where there is youth, there is sport," the tournament aims to galvanize young talents and foster a spirit of sportsmanship.
Notably, clubs hailing from neighboring countries such as India and Bhutan will be actively involved in the competition, adding an international flavor to the event. Chairman Thebe expressed the belief that organizing such a tournament is a unique opportunity to engage and positively influence the youth through the realms of sports and entertainment.
President Thebe did not shy away from highlighting the void in government attention towards the sports sector. Despite the apparent neglect, the National Youth Association is stepping up to host what is being touted as a historic tournament, showcasing their commitment to promoting sports among the younger generation.

The tournament is slated to unfold in Kathmandu from Falgun 11th to 20th, featuring a knockout-style format at Chyasal Stadium leading up to the semi-finals, with the grand finale set to unfold at Dasharath Stadium. The inclusion of both domestic powerhouses and international contenders promises an electrifying display of football prowess.
As an added incentive, the victors of the competition will walk away with a substantial cash prize of 11 lakh rupees, while the runners-up will be awarded 5 lakh rupees.
